Pikisaari

An island right next to the city centre has been the home of artists and craftsmen for ages. The old wooden buildings are protected and create a unique atmosphere, which is why it’s a popular walking route from Oulu to Nallikari. Pikisaari was named after the pitch distillery established in the 17th century due to several shipyards in the area.
